We've all been there done that with the sweet and salty burger combinations of relishes, bacon jam and heavily laden barbecue sauce burgers. Yes we know that it's a fact that sweet and savoury mix quite nicely indeed when it comes to burgers, but wait... what about adding the sweetness into the burger itself WITHOUT all the sugary extras?
No, I'm not a magician, just a frickin genius! Try these tasty Date Burgers as something just that little bit different served on a lovely Brioche Bun with some lovely salty bacon.
place the mince in a large mixing bowl and season with salt and pepper. Add the date paste and combine.
Divide the meat mix into just a little over 200g balls and press in a burger press.
Preheat the grill to 230C and grill about 7 minutes a side until the internal temperature reaches 60C.
Serve with grilled bacon in delicious brioche buns.
