
This is what would happen if a cheese burger and a quiche had a baby – a perfect pie full of fun and banging flavours that the whole family will enjoy! This recipe is just naughty, pure and simple.
- 1 tbsp oil
- 500 g 20% beef mince
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 tbsp Cowboy coffee multi purpose seasoning
- 1 pie case pre made
- 4 rashers streaky bacon
- 2 eggs
- 250 ml milk
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 75 g Plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 150 g grated cheddar cheese

Preheat the grill to 200°c set up for two zone cooking.

In a large cast iron pan preheat the oil. Add the minced beef and sauté for approximately 5 minutes then add the chopped onion. Sauté until the mince has browned and the onion is translucent. Stir in the Cowboy Coffee seasoning.

Add the meat to the pre made pie case.

Whilst preparing the other ingredients add some streaky bacon to crisp over direct heat. Once fully cooked, allow to cool and chop into small pieces.

Whisk together the eggs, milk and melted butter until combined then add the flour and baking powder and continue to mix until smooth. Pour on top of the minced beef in the pie.

Top with a healthy portion of grated cheese and then the chopped bacon.

Place on the grill on indirect heat and allow to cook through for approximately 25 minutes.

Allow to cool slightly then remove from the case, slice and serve with pickles and burger sauce for perfect naughty dinner treat!
