A Cubano sandwich is said to have been "invented" by two early Cuban immigrant communities in Florida. It's basically a very fancy ham and cheese and very tasty indeed.
Total Time 10 minutes
- Leftover Pork Loin
- Bread of your choice
- 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- Sliced Ham
- Cheese of your choice
Slice the pork as thin as you can.
Spread Dijon mustard on both sides of the bread.
Build the sandwich by layering the ham, thinly sliced pork, cheese and then pickles.
Toast the sandwich in a pan to crisp the bread and melt the cheese.
Once the cheese has melted, slice and enjoy.
