CURRIED LAMB BURGER WITH ONION BAHJIS
Juicy lamb patty infused with curry spices, stacked high with a crispy onion bahji and a cooling swipe of Mango Chutney to finish — no complicated prep, just bold flavour and big texture, fast.

Ingredients
For the lamb patties:
- 500 g lamb mince
- 1 tbsp curry powder mild or medium
- 1 garlic clove minced
- Salt & pepper
- Oil for brushing
For the build:
- Pre-packaged onion bhajis from the refrigerator aisle
- 2 tbsp Mango chutney
- Toasted brioche or naan buns
- Lettuce or shredded cabbage
- Pickled red onion
Instructions

Preheat the grill to 200°c and set up for two zone cooking.

In a bowl, mix lamb mince, curry powder, garlic, salt, and pepper.

Divide the mix into 125g balls and shape into thick burger patties using a burger press.

Chill for 10–15 minutes in the fridge to firm up.

Place the onion bahjis on indirect heat and allow to cook turning occasionally to prevent from burning.

Place the lamb burgers over direct heat and cook for approximately 4–5 minutes per side, until caramelised and cooked to 70°C internal temperature.

Build the burger, bottom bun, spicy lamb patty, lettuce, onion bahjis and heap on the mango chutney.

Crown with the top bun and enjoy.
