Mmmm nothing beats that sweet fruity taste of cranberry sauce with chicken, turkey, brie or if you're not too worried about getting a lump of coal for Christmas and feeling a little bit naughty then you might just wanna try some with my Holiday Leftover CRAN-TURK-BRIE Burgers for a delicious little treat.

Cranberry sauce to me just SCREAMS Christmas, but this one is a little bit extra special for all you Weightwatchers and Paleo out there, this version has all of the taste and none of the sugar.  Give the jarred crap a miss this year and impress your family with this little number.

  • 300 g cranberries
  • 100 ml water
  • 100 ml orange juice
  • 170 g honey
  • 1 cinnamon stick or 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Cherry smoked salt
  • 1 orange - zest


  1. Zest and juice the orange, you will need 100ml of orange juice.  One orange was plenty for our sauce.

  2. add all the ingredients to a saucepan and stir frequently tasting for sweetness, add more honey to taste if needed.

  3. If you're using a cinnamon stick then well done you - it really will give you a bang of Christmas flavour... just make sure you remove it before serving!

  4. Serve and enjoy!
