Ingredients
- 500 g 20% minced beef
- 1 ½ tablespoon Ranch seasoning
- 2 hamburger buns
- 4 slices burger cheese 1
- tbsp Cowboy Butter* see notes
- 2 slices beefsteak tomato
- 6 frozen onion rings
- 4 slices streaky bacon cooked crisp, crumbled
- 1 tbsp jalapeños from a jar
- 4 tbsp BBQ sauce
- 2 burger buns
Instructions
-
Set up the grill for two zone cooking with a flat plancha set at a low heat and insert the grill grates to the main grill set at a high heat.
-
Grill the bacon until very crispy and set aside until cooled. Once cooled, cut or crumble into very small pieces.
-
Add the beef and ranch seasoning to a bowl and mix well with hands. Add additional salt if needed.
-
Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into balls before pressing into burgers using a burger press.
-
Place the defrosted onion rings on the flat plancha over the low heat. Ensure that you turn them occasionally to prevent from burning.
-
Place the burger patties on the grill grates over direct heat for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 71°c.
-
Just before removing the burgers from the heat, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
-
While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns directly over the grill grates.
-
Spread a generous amount of cowboy butter on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
-
Top with a thick tomato slice, 2 cheeseburger patties, 3 onion rings, half of the crumbled bacon, and jalapeño slices. Drizzle with barbecue sauce.
-
Top with a bun and serve warm.
