  • 2 slices beefsteak tomato
  • 6 frozen onion rings
  • 4 slices streaky bacon cooked crisp, crumbled
  • 1 tbsp jalapeños from a jar
  • 4 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 2 burger buns
Instructions
  1. Set up the grill for two zone cooking with a flat plancha set at a low heat and insert the grill grates to the main grill set at a high heat.

  2. Grill the bacon until very crispy and set aside until cooled. Once cooled, cut or crumble into very small pieces.
  3. Add the beef and ranch seasoning to a bowl and mix well with hands. Add additional salt if needed.
  4. Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into balls before pressing into burgers using a burger press.
  5. Place the defrosted onion rings on the flat plancha over the low heat. Ensure that you turn them occasionally to prevent from burning.
  6. Place the burger patties on the grill grates over direct heat for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 71°c.
  7. Just before removing the burgers from the heat, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
  8. While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns directly over the grill grates.
  9. Spread a generous amount of cowboy butter on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
  10. Top with a thick tomato slice, 2 cheeseburger patties, 3 onion rings, half of the crumbled bacon, and jalapeño slices. Drizzle with barbecue sauce.
  11. Top with a bun and serve warm.
