THE ELVIS BURGER

Introducing the Elvis Burger — a wild, sweet-and-savoury tribute to the King himself. This beast of a burger features a juicy cowboy coffee-crusted beef patty, topped with smoky peanut butter and sticky candied bananas, all stacked inside a soft toasted bun. Be prepared to be All Shook Up, uh huh huh!

Ingredients
  • 500 g 20% minced beef
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp Cowboy Coffee multi purpose seasoning
  • 2 bananas sliced lengthways
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 rashers streaky bacon
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 brioche burger buns
Instructions
  1. Preheat the grill to 200°c and set up for direct cooking.

  2. slice the bananas length ways, sprinkle with brown sugar and set over the grill to caramelise on both sides, being careful not to let it burn. Once golden, remove from the grill and set aside.

  3. season the beef with salt and pepper and measure out to four even size balls. Press with a burger press to create 4 burger patties.

  4. coat the outside of the burgers with cowboy coffee by sprinkling and patting down or rolling directly into the seasoning.

  5. Grill the burgers and the streaky bacon over direct heat until fully cooked and the internal temperature of the burgers reaches 70°c.

  6. lightly toast the buns on the grill.

  7. Assemble the burger by spreading a tablespoon of peanut butter on the bun base, adding a burger, bacon, burger, banana and lid.

  8. Enjoy with a thick shake for the ultimate indulgence.
