POTATO ROSES

Everyone loves their roasted spuds but if you REALLY want to wow your guess why don't you give these potato roses a go? Not only do they deliver that roast dinner potatoey goodness but they are also wrapped in BACON. Still not sold?? How about that they are SUPER EASY to make but come out so pretty that they may just make you look like some kind of culinary genius! Personally I was sold when I heard the word bacon.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes
  • Olive oil
  • Rosemary thyme, salt and pepper
  • Bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190C.
  2. Use the slicer side of your grater to slice the potatoes into rounds and put into a mixing bowl
  3. Coat with the olive oil, herbs and seasoning and mix together, completely coating the potatoes.
  4. Lay out two pieces of bacon into one long strip.
  5. Lay a line of potatoes on top of the bacon.
  6. Roll the potatoes up from one end to the other.
  7. Secure with a cocktail stick or two to hold together whilst they are cooking. Cook for 30 to 40 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the bacon is crispy.
