MARMITE CHICKEN WINGS

Love it or hate it Marmite offers something really quite special for chicken wings. Smokey, tangy flavours mixed with the sweetness of brown sugar will send your brain into overdrive. Time to give them a go!

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • 3 tbsp Marmite
  • 2 tbsp barbecue sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to 200C.

  2. Prepare your wings by jointing into drums and flats.

  3. Combine the marmite, barbecue sauce, soy sauce, vinegar and sugar into a mixing bowl and combine.

  4. add the wings and coat evenly.

  5. Leave to marinade for at least 2 hours in the fridge.

  6. Place the wings on direct heat. Close the lid and grill, turning occasionally.  Once the wings have reached a safe eating temperature of 75°c and safe to eat, you can continue to cook until they have reached your preferred texture.

  7. Remove from the grill and enjoy with your favourite sides.
