PIZZA BURGERS

Meet the ultimate fusion of two crowd-pleasers: the Pizza Burger! This mouthwatering creation combines the juicy goodness of a perfectly grilled beef patty with the classic flavors of mozzarella and pepperoni, all tucked into a toasted bun. It's everything you love about pizza and burgers in one irresistible bite—ideal for family dinners, barbecue nights, or impressing your mates.

Ingredients

  • 500 g 20% fat beef mice
  • 1 tbsp mixed herbs
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 tbsp pizza sauce
  • 4 slices burger cheese
  • 100 g grated mozzarella
  • 8 slices pepperoni
  • 2 burger buns

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to 200°c.
  2. In a mixing bowl add the beef mince, the mixed herbs and salt and pepper and mix well.  Shape into 4 125g patties using a burger press.
  3. Place on the grill grates on direct heat.  Allow colour to form on one side with grill marks then flip the burger and top with burger cheese and handful of mozzarella.  Close the lid to allow to cook and for the cheese to melt.

  4. Meanwhile heat the pizza sauce in a saucepan.

  5. Once the burgers reach an internal temperature of 72°c toast the buns lightly for a minute then remove everything from the grill.
  6. Assemble the burger by adding the bottom bun, a layer of pizza sauce, burger, pizza sauce, burger then top with pepperoni.  Add the bun lid and enjoy!
