THE ELVIS BURGER

A rock ’n’ roll riot in a bun — juicy beef patty stacked with crispy bacon, caramelised banana, and a slick of creamy peanut butter, all tucked into a toasted brioche. Sweet, salty, smoky, and utterly outrageous... just the way the King would’ve liked it.

Ingredients

  • For the Burgers:
  • 2 beef burger patties approximately 150g each
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of smoked streaky bacon
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 brioche burger buns
  • 2 tbsp creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp unsalted butter

Instructions

Prepare the Bacon:

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Caramelize the Banana:

  1. Slice the banana in half and sprinkle with brown sugar.

  2. Add the banana slices to the grill grates and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden and caramelised. Remove from heat.

  3. Cook the Burger Patties:
  4. Season the beef patties with salt and pepper.
  5. Grill or pan-fry the patties over medium-high heat for about 4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  6. Toast the Buns:
  7. Slice the brioche buns and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden.

Assemble the Burgers:

  1. Spread a generous tablespoon of peanut butter on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
  2. Place the cooked burger patty on top.
  3. Add two slices of crispy bacon over each patty.
  4. Layer the caramelized banana slices on top of the bacon.
