THE ULTIMATE BREAKFAST PIZZA
Start your day the BBQ way with this Breakfast Pizza that brings the full English to the grill. Using baked beans as a rich, smoky base, it’s layered with juicy sausage, crispy black pudding, melted cheddar, and crowned with a perfectly fried egg. Built on store-bought dough for ease, it’s a proper morning feast that’s big on flavour and low on faff — ideal for lazy weekends or brunch in the garden.
Servings: 1 large pizza
Ingredients
- 1 ball of store-bought pizza dough
- 200 g baked beans
- 2 sausages cooked and sliced
- 4 slices black pudding cooked and crumbled
- 100 g Fior Di Latte or cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp olive oil for brushing
- 1 egg
Instructions
-
Place a pizza stone or a cast iron tray inside to heat up.
-
Prepare the dough and flour your surface. Roll the dough into a 10–12 inch round. Brush the edges with a little oil.
-
Spread the beans evenly over the dough like a tomato sauce. Don’t go all the way to the edge — leave a crust border.
-
Scatter over the cooked sausage, black pudding, and cheese.
-
Slide the pizza onto your hot stone or tray, lid down. Cook for 8–12 minutes or until the base is crisp and the cheese is bubbling and golden.
-
While the pizza grills, fry your egg in a separate pan until the whites are set but the yolk stays runny.
-
Slide the fried egg(s) onto the hot pizza straight off the grill. Finish with chopped chives or parsley if you like.
