Now it’s not a secret that I am partial to a nice piece of meat and I have on occasion been like a kid in a sweet shop when I’m wandering around Smithfield market and planning my excuses to the Mrs when it takes two of us to carry the bag of load back to the car. That shit can get expensive.
But there is a lot to be said for the cheaper cuts of meat out there, one of which is the Mrs favourite, chicken livers.
These bad boys are between £1-£1.50 to buy in the supermarket and cooked perfectly are an absolute delight as well as being ridiculously nutritious.
My way is to lightly dust with a good rub, skewer up with some veg and grill for 5 to 10 minutes. Boom. We’ve had them in curries, carbonara in wraps, all bloody tasty.
Pretty sure the Mrs will insist on a few recipes to be posted in the future so mums no need to go to Iceland.
